I was born and raised (and still live) in Wisconsin, and I feel like many of us understand that the only way to get through these dark days is to get out there. It's not a fix-all, but it's a fix-some-of-it. (And that saying about how there is no bad weather, only bad clothing is SO true!)

I love your list of ideas -- I do many of them already but I injured my tailbone sledding with my kids about a month ago so I haven't been able to cross-country ski, which is my usual way of sporting through the winter, and I am really missing it. It's good to be reminded of some alternatives. (I'd add ice fishing to the list!)
